Ok, so I love true crime. I’m a bit of a true crime junkie and one of my favorite podcasts over the last few years has been The Last Podcast On The Left.
Well, Marcus, Ben and Henry decided to write a book. Only they filled it with caricature-like portraits of themselves and little asides that, while they make sense in a podcast, don’t make sense in a book.
I wanted to like this book…I did. But the caricature like portraits of Marcus, Ben and Henry were on pretty much every single page. Sometimes multiple times. Ben making several weird faces followed by Henry making weird faces. It was a distraction to me. The little asides, which work well in a conversational-style podcast format, just don’t work in a book. Maybe in audiobook format, but not in like, book book or e-book format. Ugh.
